Roper & Company, LLC, owner of Venue American Grill on Forest Avenue, has formed a partnership with David and Barbara Domke, restaurateurs from Kansas City, Mo. Between them, the Domkes have more than 50 years of experience in the hospitality industry.
Richard Pelletier of GlassCon Products Inc. was hired as an independent sales agent to represent Auburn Manufacturing Inc.’s new EverGreen Cut ‘n Wrap insulation kits. Pelletier will be introducing the product to hospitals, universities, and municipal, state and federal institutions throughout New England. He formed GlassCon Products after retiring from Pittsburgh Corning Corp.
Odette Galli joined Maine Audubon as director of advancement. Galli, of Falmouth, was previously with the National Wildlife Federation and Vassar College.
Kim Abelli joined the Michelle Raber State Farm Insurance Agency in Scarborough as an account representative. Abelli, of Scarborough, was most recently a student at Southern Maine Community College.

n John Shumadine, a lawyer and director at the Portland law firm Murray, Plumb & Murray, was recently elected to the board of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Portland. Shumadine, of Portland, specializes in land use and environmental law, municipal law and real estate litigation. He joined Murray, Plumb & Murray in 2001.
InEx Interior Design in Damariscotta recently changed its name to LaRochelle Interior Design.
Ethan Gamage, Jenna Klein Jonsson and Cliff Ruprecht joined the board of directors for the Cumberland County Y. Gamage, of Portland, is a senior consultant at Opus Consulting Group. Jonsson, of Freeport, is the creative director and managing editor at L.L. Bean, where she has worked since 1998. Ruprecht, of Pownal, is a partner at Pierce Atwood and a member of the American Law Institute, and serves on the board of directors of Pine Tree Legal Assistance.
The Northern New England Agency named the following individuals to its President’s Club for “dramatically impacting the lives of others”: Justin Beauregard of Scarborough; Stephen Daigle of Lewiston; Daniel O’Halloran and Timothy O’Halloran, both of Scarborough.
Elizabeth Mitchell, CEO of the Maine Health Management Coalition, was named to a committee of the National Quality Forum that will address the Affordable Care Act.

David Wakelin, a Portland lawyer, became president of the Maine State Bar Associa-tion. Wakelin has practiced as an employee benefit lawyer in Portland for 36 years and is a partner of Wakelin, Hallock & O’Donovan, LLP.
