AUGUSTA — Graham Safford scored 23 points to lead second-ranked Hampden Academy (16-3) to a 70-51 win over seventh-ranked Lewiston (9-10) in an Eastern Class A quarterfinal at the Augusta Civic Center.

Lewiston held a 12-7 lead at the end of the first quarter, but Hampden Academy used a 23-8 run in the second quarter to move into a 30-20 lead.

Christian McCue scored 13 points for the Broncos, who will face No. 3 Edward Little in the semifinals on Wednesday.

Shawn Ricker led the Devils with 10 points.
