PORTLAND — Mario West slammed in a rebound with 15.1 seconds left to lead the Maine Red Claws to a 97-95 win over rival Springfield this afternoon. The win closed the three-game series 2-1 for Maine.
Jamar Smith had a game-high 20 points in the win, West finished with 12. Tiny Gallon had six clutch points in the game’s final minutes.
Maine (14-21) has a week off for the All-Star break, and returns home at 1 p.m. Feb. 24 against Rio Grande.
