A 6-year-old boy was injured in a ski accident this morning at the Mt. Abram ski resort in Greenwood.

The child fell on a trail and was transported by the ski patrol, according to Kevin Rosenberg, marketing and sales director at Mt. Abram. An ambulance was called as a precaution, but the child was released to his parents, Rosenberg said.

Rosenberg said the child had a few scrapes and abrasions from the snow but the injuries were not serious.

The child was taken to St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Lewiston to be evaluated.
