CUMBERLAND — Sam Johnston scored 11 of his game-high 18 points in the second half Tuesday night as Greely pulled away to a 49-28 victory against Wells in a Western Maine Conference schoolboy basketball game.
Tanner Storey added six points and five blocked shots for Greely (8-1), which led 19-10 at halftime.
Zach Deshaies, Alex Furness and Dylan Stevens scored six points apiece for Wells (4-4).
CAPE ELIZABETH 55, FALMOUTH 48: Theo Bowe scored 18 points for Cape Elizabeth (7-1), which pulled away from a tie game in the fourth quarter to down the Yachtsmen (4-4) at Falmouth.
The Capers held Falmouth to four points in the fourth period, when Chris Robisheaw (11 points) scored five and Bowe added four.
Jack Cooleen led Falmouth with 16 points and 14 rebounds. Matt Packard added 15 points.
SOUTH PORTLAND 48, SCARBOROUGH 33: Vukasin Vignjvic scored 10 of his 14 points in the first half as South Portland (6-1) took a 28-8 lead against the Red Storm (6-2) at Scarborough.
Jordan Muller finished with 11 points for the Red Riots. Zach Bean had 11 for Scarborough.
OLD ORCHARD BEACH 61, FREEPORT 48: Jason Dutton scored a game-high 19 points for the Seagulls (7-1) against the Falcons (0-8) at Freeport.
Nate Dow added 12 points and Ryan Gallant scored 10 for Old Orchard.
Kyle Strozewski led Freeport with 12 points.
YORK 50, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 38: Aaron Todd scored a game-high 17 points as the Wildcats (6-2) beat the Raiders (1-7) at Fryeburg.
Bright Amoako led Fryeburg with 15 points.
BONNY EAGLE 53, GORHAM 36: Steve Simonds scored a game-high 16 points for the Scots (6-1) against the Rams (1-6) at Gorham.
Dustin Cole added 13 points for Bonny Eagle. Zach Spiers led Gorham with 11.
PORTLAND 71, WINDHAM 46: Mike Herrick scored a team-high 20 points for the Bulldogs (3-4) against the Eagles (3-4) at Portland.
Nate Smart added 15 points, and Matt McInnis had 12 points and nine rebounds for Portland.
Nolan Allen scored a game-high 27 points for Windham.
GEORGES VALLEY 49, LISBON 31: Alex Wallace scored five points during an 18-3 run in the third period that helped Georges Valley (2-7) open a 37-19 lead against the Greyhounds (0-9) at Lisbon Falls.
Dylan Maloney added 11 points for Georges Valley. Mike Degou led Lisbon with nine.
TRAIP ACADEMY 59, WAYNFLETE 47: Nathan Westman scored 28 points to lead Traip Academy (4-5) over Waynflete (4-4) at Kittery.
Westman had 14 points in the first quarter, including 4 of 4 from the foul line and two 3-pointers as the Rangers took a 23-11 lead.
Alex Hadiaris paced the Flyers with 14 points. Joe Veroneau added 13.
DEERING 54, KENNEBUNK 34: Jackson Frey had 14 points for visiting Deering (5-2), which took control after the first period against Kennebunk (1-6).
Kennebunk led 13-10 after the opening period but couldn’t overcome Deering’s trap defense after that.
Vann Brazz led Kennebunk with 14 points.
LINCOLN ACADEMY 41, MAINE CENTRAL INSTITUTE 30: The Eagles (4-5) opened a 23-6 halftime lead and cruised past the Huskies (2-9) at Pittsfield.
Brandon Riley scored a game-high 19 points for Lincoln. Everett Martin added 14.
Tyler Maloon led MCI with eight points.
SANFORD 66, NOBLE 55: Justin Carlson scored 15 points for Sanford (1-6), which had four players in double figures against the Knights (1-7) at North Berwick.
Sanford, with 23 of 35 free-throw shooting, outscored Noble by 11 from the line. Noble made 12 of 13 foul shots.
Ryan Camire added 12 points, Alex Shain 11 and Jimmie Chaisson 10 for Sanford. Brady Dodge scored 16 points and Xandy Houser had 13 for the Knights.
POLAND 73, LAKE REGION 54: Jake Littlefield scored a team-high 22 points for the Knights (4-4) against the Lakers (2-6) at Poland.
Josh Farrington added 15 points and Logan Nichols had 14 for Poland, which hit 10 3-pointers.
Kevin Gilson scored a game-high 31 points for Lake Region.
MEDOMAK VALLEY 52, WATERVILLE 30: John Murray scored 18 points to lead visiting Medomak Valley (7-3) past Waterville (1-8).
Isaac Greenrose scored five of his 11 points in the first quarter to help Medomak open a 17-7 lead.
WESTBROOK 51, BIDDEFORD 40: Trevor Bates had 22 points and 16 rebounds, and Zach Gardiner added 12 points to lead the Blue Blazes (6-1) past the Tigers (1-6) at Westbrook.
Gardiner scored six points in the third quarter as Westbrook used a 14-6 run to overcome an 18-17 halftime deficit and take 31-24 lead into the fourth quarter.
Mike Lachance scored 12 points, and Chance Baldino and Nathan McKeown added 10 each for the Tigers.
BOOTHBAY REGION 63, WISCASSET 54: Dan Dickinson scored 17 points to lead Boothbay Region (7-2) past the Redskins (7-2) at Wiscasset.
Anthony DiMauro added 13 points and Jordan Caron scored 12 for the Seahawks, who began to pull away in the fourth quarter and hit their foul shots down the stretch.
Dani Murphy led Wiscasset with 15 points. Ashton Benn and Jordan Jones scored 11 each.
GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 57, YARMOUTH 54: Adam Jensen converted a three-point play after making a layup in the final minute to lift the Patriots (5-3) over the Clippers (5-3) at Yarmouth.
Jensen finished with 21 points and Josh Farynaz added 17 for Gray-New Gloucester.
Josh Britten made five 3-pointers and scored 23 points to pace Yarmouth.
RANGELEY 39, SEACOAST CHRISTIAN 38: Mike Haley scored his only points on a rebound put-back with less than a minute remaining to give Rangeley (5-3) the lead for good against Seacoast Christian (2-5) at Auburn.
Alex Morton led Rangeley with 16 points. Jay Archer led Seacoast, also with 16.
MARANACOOK 63, ROCKLAND 49: Seth Miller had 25 points and five steals to lead the Black Bears (5-5) past Rockland (2-8) at Readfield.
BRUNSWICK 61, CONY 54: Mitch Black scored 11 of his game-high 24 points in the second half and finished with seven assists for the Dragons (5-4) against the Rams (5-4) at Brunswick.
EDWARD LITTLE 63, MT. ARARAT 42: Bo Leary scored 12 of his 15 points in the second half as Edward Little (8-1) stretched a six-point halftime lead to a 21-point victory against the Eagles (5-5) in Topsham.
