NEW FACES
• Kelly Liberty has joined the Bridges Home Care division at Spectrum Generations as a care manager. She will work in the Independence Program, which provides support to veterans who want to remain in their homes.
Liberty, of Albion, previously worked with mentally ill adults at Catholic Charities and was a social worker in the Anson and Madison schools.
• Susan Dore Lamb has been named executive director of the Maine chapter of the National Association of Social Workers. Lamb, a former state legislator, has several years of experience in nonprofit management.
• Tom Costa has been named Western region sales manager for Fluid Imaging Technologies Inc., a manufacturer of the FlowCAM in Yarmouth. Costa, of Walnut, Calif., will oversee the company’s West Coast laboratory and industrial sales markets. He has extensive sales, marketing and business operations management experience.
• Don Gooding has been named executive director of the Maine Center for Enterprise Development.
Gooding has more than 20 years of experience as a telecommunications market analyst and venture capitalist. The founder of a global specialty music business, he most recently worked with the EnterPrize Institute, a resource publication for business plan competitions.
• Dave Eldridge and Jean Claveau have joined Androscoggin Bank’s commercial lending team.
Eldridge, named vice president and commercial loan manager, was previously director of finance and operations at Washington Academy, where he was in charge of the school’s business office. He also worked as vice president of Commercial Banking, where he managed a loan portfolio of more than $100 million.
Claveau was also named vice president and commercial loan officer. He was previously a loan and investment officer for Coastal Enterprises Inc., where he worked to provide funding for Maine companies.
• Matt Thompson has joined Alternative Merchant Capital as an independent sales representative. Thompson received his finance degree from Boston College and has worked in the sales industry for several years.
• Ethan Johnson has joined Delano Associates as an insurance sales producer.
Johnson previously worked at Unum for eight years. He graduated from the University of Southern Maine School of Business with a concentration in risk management and insurance.
• Jake Riley and Andrea Underwood have joined Stantec in Topsham as environmental specialists.
Riley, a project scientist, specializes in fisheries and has experience in stream restoration, stream assessments and environmental compliance and construction oversight.
Underwood, a project coordinator, has experience in land use and community planning, including sustainability, community development financing and community consensus initiatives.
PROMOTIONS
• Deb Sileo was named an independent agent at Allen & Selig Realty.
Sileo has more than five years of experience in residential real estate. She specializes in first-time homebuyers, foreclosures and investment properties.
GENERAL
• Michelle G. Winn of Acadia Insurance has earned the Certified Professional in Learning and Performance credential from the American Society for Training and Development Certification Institute.
Winn is the first person in Maine to earn the designation.
• L.S. Robinson, an insurance agency in Southwest Harbor, is now part of Allen Insurance and Financial.
The purchase was finalized in late November. L.S. Robinson will continue to operate under its name.
• The Maine Adult Education Association was honored for excellence in website design by the Learning Resources Network. The association was recognized for its site, www.maineadulted.org.
The website, launched by former Gov. John Baldacci in 2009, allows people to search for programs and courses in the state. Since its launch, the website has had more than 600,000 visitors and 4,000 course registrations.
• Lorie Hebert, a senior branch office administrator, accepted an invitation to become a limited partner in The Jones Financial Cos., the holding company for the St. Louis-based financial services firm Edward Jones.
Hebert joined Edward Jones in 2003.
• Sherry Morrison, an Edward Jones financial adviser in South Portland, accepted an invitation to increase her current limited partnership holdings.
Morrison joined Edward Jones in 1994 and has served investors in South Portland for the past six years.
• SystemArchitecture.NET, a Windham-based information technology consulting firm, recently expanded its operations. The company has grown by roughly 40 percent per year over the past three years.
Originally launched as a database and programming shop, SystemArchitecture.NET has expanded its services over the past few years to include network engineering, IT support, website design and Internet marketing.
• Capture Media Associates in Thomaston has merged with the Dream Local division of Local Habit. Capture Media Associates was established in December 2009 as a digital marketing agency, focusing on social media and online marketing for small businesses.
