SANFORD – Nolan Allen scored 25 points Thursday night to lead Windham to a 56-52 victory against Sanford in a Southern Maine Activities Association schoolboy basketball game.
Allen hit 9 of 11 free throws for the Eagles (3-3).
Drew Allen added 10 points and Shawn Francoeur finished with seven for Windham.
Jeremiah Colby scored 12 points, Jimmie Chaisson had 11 and Justin Carlson 10 for Sanford (0-6).
A.R. GOULD 63, PINE TREE ACADEMY 39: Steve Lyons had 14 points and three steals, and George Hopkins added 13 points with four assists for the Bears (4-2), who cruised to a 37-15 halftime lead and beat the Breakers (0-6) at South Portland.
Mekonnen Nigussie added 12 points and 10 rebounds.
Tim McGuire scored 22 points for Pine Tree.
BOOTHBAY REGION 45, WINTHROP 35: Brian Hubbard had 13 points and seven rebounds to lead the Seahawks (5-2) over the Ramblers (4-3) at Boothbay Harbor.
Dan Dickinson added 12 points and Jake Simmons 10 for Boothbay.
Billy Gordon scored 22 points for Winthrop, which trailed 16-4 after the first quarter, then pulled within five with three minutes left.
MEDOMAK VALLEY 69, MARANACOOK 66: John Murray had 21 points and nine rebounds as the Panthers (5-3) edged the Black Bears (4-4) at Waldoboro.
Isaac Durkee and Alex Greenrose each added 16 points for Medomak.
Jack Kennedy had 17 points with four 3-pointers for Maranacook.
SEACOAST CHRISTIAN 51, GREATER PORTLAND CHRISTIAN 40: Jay Archer scored 25 points to lead the Guardians (2-3) over the Lions (1-5) at South Portland.
Logan Archer added 13 points for Seacoast. Ben Hammond had 11 points for the Lions.
HALL-DALE 35, LISBON 30: Hall-Dale (3-5) was held scoreless in the fourth quarter, then pulled away from Lisbon (2-6) in overtime at Farmingdale.
Zac Plummer led Hall-Dale with nine points. Mike Degou paced Lisbon with 10.
CAMDEN HILLS 65, WATERVILLE 35: Tyler McFarland had 17 points and 10 rebounds as Camden Hills (8-0) defeated the Purple Panthers (1-6) at Waterville.
NOKOMIS 64, ROCKLAND 49: Chris Braley scored 28 points and hit four 3-pointers to help Nokomis (5-3) stop Rockland (1-7) at Newport.
Ryan Ecker led Rockland (1-7) with 17 points.
HOCKEY
MT. ARARAT 1, CONY 0: Tyler Geyer scored from Neal Burgess in the third period as the Eagles (2-3-1) topped the Rams (1-4) at Brunswick.
GREELY 4, GARDINER 1: Ted Hart scored twice, both set up by John Downey and Zac Doucette, and the Rangers (6-0) defeated the Tigers (3-5) at Hallowell.
Devyn Rogers and Griffen Demick also scored for Greely, which led 4-0 after one period.
Cam Sullivan scored from Matt MacDonald and Pete Willamson in the second period for Gardiner.
Matt Labbe made 14 saves for the Rangers. Brad Moore stopped 22 shots for the Tigers.
SCARBOROUGH 5, PORTLAND 2: The Red Storm (2-3) got goals from five players and beat the Bulldogs (3-1) at Portland.
Hunter Lynch scored in the first period, Jordan Bathe and Ryan Johnson scored in the second, and Zach Pettingill and Nick Bagley added third-period goals.
Colin Merrill and Eddie Apon scored for Portland.
