SOUTH PORTLAND – Suzanne Gonzalez scored 19 points Thursday night for Greater Portland Christian, which pulled away in the third quarter to down Seacoast Christian 43-36 in a Western Class D schoolgirl basketball game.

Greater Portland Christian (2-3) used a 17-10 run in the third quarter to take control after a 15-15 halftime tie.

Robyn Waugh added 10 points for the Lions. Amberlee Bennett led Seacoast (3-2) with 16 points.

OLD ORCHARD BEACH 51, HYDE 33: The Seagulls (2-5), trailing 11-2 after the first quarter, went on a 21-2 run in the second and beat the Phoenix (1-2) at Bath.

Christina Coleman and Olivia Dubois combined for 13 points in the second period for the Seagulls.

Gillian Foss added 15 of her team-high 17 points in the second half for Old Orchard.

Katie Hatch finished with 10 points, followed by Coleman with nine and Dubois with six.

Sage Harris had 20 points for the Phoenix.

MT. ARARAT 46, LEWISTON 21: Kristie Willey and Molly Estes each scored 10 points for the Eagles (4-2), who led 28-8 early in the third quarter and downed the Blue Devils (0-9) at Topsham. Amber Bowley added nine points for Mt. Ararat.

TRAIP ACADEMY 57, WELLS 32: Selena Lorrey scored nine of her 28 points during a 16-2 run in the second quarter as the Rangers (5-2) took charge against the Warriors (2-4) at Kittery.

Katherine Volpe added 12 points for Traip.

LAKE REGION 42, FREEPORT 22: Sydney Hancock scored 15 points on five 3-pointers as the Lakers (6-1) handled the Falcons (0-7) at Freeport.

Hancock opened the second quarter with consecutive 3s and Allison Clark (10 points) added a long-range shot for the Lakers, who outscored Freeport 10-2 in the period for a 16-6 lead.

NOKOMIS 67, ROCKLAND 21: Traci Carson scored 13 points as the Warriors (6-1) rolled past the Tigers (0-7) at Rockland.

CAMDEN HILLS 47, WATERVILLE 30: Jordan Knowlton had 22 points for the Windjammers (3-5), who took an 18-6 lead after the first period and beat the Purple Panthers (0-7) at Rockport.

MEDOMAK VALLEY 48, MARANACOOK 38: Ericka Christensen scored 19 points to lead Medomak Valley (8-0) past Maranacook (2-6) at Readfield.

HOCKEY

GREELY 3, LEWISTON 0: Michaela Finnegan had a goal and an assist as the Rangers (6-2) beat the Blue Devils (3-7) at Falmouth.

Meg Finlay and Casey Benner also scored.
