The Sanford Elks Lodge will hold its annual foul shooting contest at 3 p.m. Saturday at Carl Lamb School on Shaw’s Ridge Road. Age groups for boys and girls are 8-9, 10-11 and 12-13. Winners will advance to a contest on Jan. 16. For more information, contact Gary at 698-5963.

The University of Southern Maine softball team will hold five youth clinics on Sunday mornings beginning Jan. 16. The clinics are open to students in grades 3 to 12 and will cover pitching, fielding and hitting. They will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Costello Sports Complex on the Gorham campus.
