BIDDEFORD — Eamon Costello scored two goals, including the winner in overtime, to lead Yarmouth to a 3-2 victory over Kennebunk in a high school boys’ hockey game Monday.
Teammate Joey King had the assist on the overtime goal for the Clippers (3-2) and also scored in the third period to tie the game and force overtime.
Red DeSmith earned the win for Yarmouth with 34 saves, while Jordon Kadlik had 35 saves for the Rams (1-4).
WINDHAM-SACOPEE VALLEY 4, LAKE REGION-FRYEBURG 2: Curtis Merrill made 23 saves for Windham-Sacopee Valley (2-4) to earn the win over Lake Region-Fryeburg (1-4) at Bridgton.
LR-Fryeburg took an early 2-0 lead after a pair of first-period goals, but Windham-SV came back with four goals by four different players as they rallied.
GIRLS’ HOCKEY
FALMOUTH 4, BRUNSWICK 1: Lucy Meyer and Jayde Bazinet each scored less than two minutes apart midway through the third period to break open a 1-1 game and lift the Yachtsmen (3-6) over the Dragons (3-6-1) at Watson Arena in Brunswick.
Bazinet opened the scoring for Falmouth 6:28 into the second period. Brunswick evened the score just over two minutes later on a goal by Rachel Moroney.
Mary Wollsey added a pair of assists for Falmouth, and Abby Payson also scored a goal.
BOYS’ BASKETBALL
MONMOUTH ACADEMY 54, HALL DALE 30: Roger Bachelder scored 18 points and Tim Whitmore added 15 to lead the Mustangs (5-2) over the Bulldogs (2-5) at Monmouth.
Robby Neal chipped in with 12 points for Monmouth, who led 22-13 at halftime.
Hall-Dale was led by Zach Plummer with 16 points, including three 3-pointers.
BOOTHBAY REGION 54, GEORGES VALLEY 41: Dan Dickinson scored a game-high 19 points to go with his nine steals for the Seahawks (4-2) in their win over the Buccaneers (1-6) at Thomaston.
Teammate Jordan Caron powered his way to a double-double with 12 points and a game-high 10 rebounds.
Georges Valley slowed the game by playing half-court basketball for three quarters, but Boothbay Region took over in the fourth.
Alex Wallace led Georges Valley with 18 points.
