WESTBROOK – The Westbrook automotive instructor charged with lewdness in Massachusetts has resigned.
The resignation of Jeffrey Libby, 33, of 41 Ossipee Trail in Limington, was announced at the meeting of the Westbrook School Committee on Wednesday, Dec. 8.
He was an automotive instructor at the Westbrook Regional Vocational Center. His resignation was effective as of Nov. 17.
Libby was facing one charge of open and gross lewdness out of Methuen, Mass. for allegedly exposing himself to a woman in a parking lot while wearing women’s undergarments on Oct. 15.
According to a police report, Libby admitted to wearing women’s clothing, but claimed he never exposed himself to anyone. The report said he was attempting to change his clothes when the incident occurred.
Records out of Lawrence District Court indicate Libby’s case was continued without a finding on Nov. 22. A court clerk said Libby is on probation for a period of one year.
