WESTBROOK – The Hannaford store in Westbrook is advising consumers to inspect packages of Nature’s Place ground beef closely.

The company issued a press release Tuesday saying a production run Monday at the Westbrook Hannaford store involving 10 pounds of beef may have produced ground beef with fragments of packaging. The ground beef is Nature’s Place, 85 percent lean, produced on Monday, Dec. 13, and with a “sell by” date of Dec. 15.

Consumers who purchased this Nature’s Place beef at the Westbrook store are asked to return it for double money back.
