Swollen by storm runoff, the Presumpscot River rages over Saccarappa Falls in Westbrook on Monday. Rivers around Maine were running high because of heavy rain Sunday and Monday, but no widespread flooding was expected. Central Maine Power reported a few isolated areas without electricity after strong winds knocked out power. The National Weather Service is forecasting unsettled and colder-than-normal conditions for the rest of the week.
