ORONO — Casey Walker scored 25 points and Delaware State defeated Maine 75-56 in a college men’s basketball game on Monday night.
The Hornets (3-4) shot 53.6 percent from the field (15 of 28), including 53.8 percent from 3-point range (7 of 13) in the second half to outscore the Black Bears 46-28 after the break.
Maine (2-5) used a 10-2 run to lead 20-10 on Alasdair Fraser’s free throw with 9:04 left in the first half.
The Hornets then outscored Maine 16-6 to tie it at 26 on a pair of free throws by Walker with 47 seconds to go until halftime. Walker’s 3-pointer put Delaware State up for good, 29-26.
Raheem Singleton scored 11 points for Maine.
(5) KANSAS STATE 89, ALCORN STATE 55: Jacob Pullen scored 24 points to lead the Wildcats (8-1) past the Braves (0-7) at Manhattan, Kan.

(5) DUKE 61, (7) TEXAS A&M 58: Jasmine Thomas scored 18 points and hit the go-ahead basket with 55 seconds left to lead the Blue Devils (9-0) past the Aggies (6-1) at Durham, N.C.
Karima Christmas and Chelsea Gray had 11 points each for the Blue Devils, who overcame 18 turnovers to extend the best start of Coach Joanne P. McCallie’s 19-year career, which began at UMaine.
(23) WIS.-GREEN BAY 68, E. MICHIGAN 43: Julie Wojta scored 20 points and Adrian Ritchie added 13 to lead the Phoenix (8-0) past the Eagles (5-4) in Ypsilanti, Mich.
AP POLL: Connecticut remained the unanimous choice at No. 1, and Michigan State jumped 10 spots to No. 15 after beating two ranked teams – Florida State and Texas.
