WESTBROOK – Four women and two men were elected Tuesday to the Westbrook Charter Commission tasked with reviewing the city charter.
Lisa A. Chuluda, the daughter of former mayor Bruce Chuluda, led all candidates with 3,850 votes.
In second was Patricia Amico, the sister of current Mayor Colleen Hilton. Amico garnered 3,396 votes.
Also receiving enough votes to be elected to the commission were Michael Levine and Susan R. Rossignol, both with 3,327 votes; Eileen E. Shutts, with 3,287 votes; and Drew Gattine, with 2,991 votes.
The three other candidates vying for one of six seats were Westbrook High School Principal Marc Gousse (2,736), Michael Mullett (2,363), Charles Ewing (2,362) and George Rodrigues (2,334).
The City Council has the authority to appoint three additional people to the Charter Commission.
The Charter Commission will review the city charter to determine whether its language needs to be updated or if changes are warranted.
