About 25 people turned out Monday to support plans by Community Counseling Center to move from Forest Avenue next spring to leased space at 165 Lancaster St. in Portland’s Bayside neighborhood. The agency must raise $100,000 for renovations, said Donna Murphy of Maine Mental Health Partners. Participants included, from left, Lisa Toner, who chairs the center’s board; Ned Smith, a board member and building committee chair; Portland Mayor Nick Mavodones; and Mary Jane Krebs, the center’s interim CEO.
