CUMBERLAND — Lindsey Arsenault made 11 saves for Greely and Alexa Bondo had two for York in a scoreless tie between two Western Maine Conference schoolgirl soccer powers Tuesday.

Greely (7-3-2) is the third-ranked team in Western Class A. York (9-1-2) is ranked second in Western Class B.

OLD ORCHARD BEACH 3, LAKE REGION 2: Olivia Dubois scored two goals to lead the Seagulls (6-5-1) over Lake Region (3-8) at Old Orchard Beach.

Anna Foss opened the scoring for the Seagulls. Dubois made it 2-0 with 20 minutes left off a cross from Jessica Derepentigny.
Tianna Carter and Sydney Hancock scored for Lake Region.

CAPE ELIZABETH 5, FREEPORT 2: Five players scored for the Capers (7-5-1) against the Falcons (5-7-1) at Cape Elizabeth.
Sydney Banks had a goal and an assist, and Lexi Cantara, Emily Donovan, Hannah Dineen and Kelsey Jackson also scored for Cape Elizabeth. Karyn Barrett had two assists.

Jess Hench and Brooke Heathco scored for Freeport.

Lexi Weatherbie had seven saves for the Capers.

Abby Roney stopped 14 shots for Freeport.

GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 2, POLAND 0: Sammie Wilkins posted her first shutout of the season with 10 saves as the Patriots (5-5-2) beat Poland (4-8-1) at Gray.

Julia Martell picked the ball out of a crowd of defenders, to score the Patriots’ first goal with a volley off Maggie Chaplin’s cross from the right. Midway through the second half, Haylee Cote one-timed a pass from Taylor Darnell.

Cassi Mocciola finished with 12 saves on 19 shots for Poland.

MT. ARARAT 3, LEWISTON 1: Mt. Ararat (8-3) used a 30-6 advantage in shots to down the Blue Devils (2-10) at Lewiston.
Haley Michaud and Randi London scored in the first half for the Eagles. Jaymee Wallace made it 3-0 in the second half before Mariah Carrier answered for Lewiston.

BRUNSWICK 2, MORSE 0:
Allie Walton scored both goals as the Dragons (12-0) shut out the Shipbuilders (8-3-1) at Bath.
Rachel Moroney had an assist.

SACOPEE VALLEY 1, NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 0:
Maeve Downey scored an unassisted goal 10 minutes into the second half as the Hawks (10-1-1) edged the Panthers (2-6-3) at South Hiram.

Savanna Poole finished with eight saves for NYA. Courtney Ross needed seven saves for the shutout.

CONY 2, EDWARD LITTLE 1: Haylee Quirion scored on a cross from Olivia Boivin from about 22 yards with 20 minutes left to give Cony girls (5-5-2) a 2-0 lead against the Red Eddies (5-6) at Auburn.

Josie Lee headed in a throw-in from Suzannah Deeves as the Rams took a 1-0 lead early in the second half.

ERSKINE ACADEMY 1, OXFORD HILLS 1: Dana Shultz scored an unassisted goal in the second half to give Oxford Hills (2-9-2) a tie against the Eagles (3-7-2) at South China.

Bridget Humphrey gave Erskine a 1-0 lead on a 15-yard shot after taking a through ball from Meryl Bond. Jessica Souther made five saves for Erskine. Sam Hatch made 10 stops for Oxford Hills.

RICHMOND 6, GREATER PORTLAND CHRISTIAN 1:
Sadie Gosse scored twice for the Bobcats (12-0) against the Lions (4-6-1) at Richmond.

Kaitlynn McAuliffe, Bri Snedeker, Noell Acord and Danica Hurley also scored, and Tara Hurley had an assist for Richmond. Elaine Beech answered for Greater Portland.

Lindsy Hoopingarner and Gosse combined for five saves for Richmond. Rachel Gagnon made 12 saves for Greater Portland Christian.

GEORGES VALLEY 4, HALL-DALE 0: The Buccaneers (11-0-1) scored three goals in the second half to pull away from the Bulldogs (7-5) at Thomaston.

Katlyn Rich, Jill Bradbury and Rosemary McGeady scored in the second half for Georges Valley. Erika Brooks scored in the first half and Jess Veilleux had two assists.

Anais Truman had eight saves for Hall-Dale.

WINTHROP 4, BOOTHBAY REGION 3: Karen Rice scored twice to lead the Ramblers(2-9) over the Seahawks (1-10-1) at Boothbay Harbor.

Lauren Selwood and Abby Helm also scored for Winthrop. Abby McLellan scored twice and Nell Anthony once for Boothbay.

FIELD HOCKEY
SCARBOROUGH 2, GORHAM 0:
Kristen Felt scored on a first-half penalty stroke and Kelsey Howard got the second goal three minutes later as Scarborough (12-1) downed the Rams (8-6) at Gorham.

Rebecca Mitchell needed four stops for the shutout. Patty Smith finished with three saves for Gorham.

KENNEBUNK 2, SANFORD 1: Jenn Davis scored in the second overtime as the Rams (10-3-1) edged the Redskins (7-7) at Sanford.

After Cheyenne Knox scored an unassisted goal for Kennebunk in the first half, Jordan Brasier tied it from Tallyn Brown and Lindsey Nolette.

Kelsey Livenmore recorded seven saves for Kennebunk.

Sarah Stanley had five saves for Sanford.

SOUTH PORTLAND 2, DEERING 1: Katie Murphy had a goal and an assist to help the Red Riots (8-6) hold off Deering (0-13-1) at South Portland.

Murphy set up Felicia Farnham 2:15 into the game. Murphy added the second goal off a corner by Michelle Callow.

Jesse Cinque scored for the Rams midway through the second half.

Lani Edwards had six saves for South Portland. Caley Presby finished with 19 stops for Deering.

WESTBROOK 3, BONNY EAGLE 0: Olivia Marsden, Kayla Winton and Melissa Pettis scored for the Blue Blazes (11-3) against Bonny Eagle (9-5) at Westbrook.

Marsden scored the lone goal of the first half off a corner. Winton added a goal midway through the second half from Sarah Howard, and Pettis scored on a breakaway 35 seconds later.

Maryssa Arsenault had nine saves for Westbrook. Rebecca Coney stopped 18 shots for the Scots.

VOLLEYBALL
SCARBOROUGH 3, YARMOUTH 0:
Brittany Bona had 15 kills and 13 digs as Scarborough defeated the Clippers 25-22, 25-21, 25-16, at Yarmouth.

Emily Robbins added 21 assists for Scarborough.

For Yarmouth, Abby Hutchinson had 11 kills and 14 assists, and Mary Sansone contributed 16 digs.
