WESTBROOK – Two drivers were transported to the hospital after a two-car crash that closed both lanes of County Road (Route 22) in Westbrook shortly after noon today.

Westbrook police Sgt. Sean Lally said a westbound Audi crossed the center line and struck an eastbound Toyota head on. Lally said both female drivers were extricated. Police said injuries appeared serious but not life threatening, and that speed and alcohol did not appear to be factors in the accident.
