The bridge
The elephant in the room these days is “When is the work on the new non-movable bridge going to start?” Visiting the town’s website garnered no new information. What I did learn is that there is a Causeway Renaissance Group that meets every other Wednesday at 6 p.m. I am assuming this is an offspring of the Bridge Committee that used to meet at that same time at the Town Office. One thing I did learn is that life will be a bit more challenging in Naples for the next two years as that’s how long the project is scheduled for. For those interested, there is a project schedule for all to pick up at the town office. Right now we seem to be in the “Mobilize” phase. Actual work seems to be starting on Oct. 1 with the installation of steel for the Abutment of # 2 Cofferdam. More to come on this!
