HARPSWELL — Residents can now renew their motor vehicle registrations online.

The service, known as Rapid Renewal, is offered through the secretary of state’s website. It allows residents to renew their registrations via the Internet by connecting municipal and state governments through an e-commerce link.

Residents can utilize the service 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Harpswell is one of 146 Maine municipalities to utilize the service.
