LEARN HOW to make an ahi tuna lollipop with ginger macadamia sauce, a specialty from Fiji, at a Maine appearance by California celebrity chef Bernard Guillas. The chef will be signing his debut cookbook, “Flying Pans — Two Chefs, One World,” and preparing the tuna as well as a vanilla-spiced shrimp dish from Puerto Rico.

Chili contest fuels Meals on Wheels
THE SOUTHERN MAINE Regional Chili Cook-off will fill lots of bellies, because it’s a fundraiser for Meals on Wheels. The winner qualifies for the International Chili Society World Chili Championship in Manchester, N.H., Oct. 1-3.
