FALMOUTH – A convenience store on Route 1 was robbed of $130 in cash early this morning, police said.

A woman in her 20s threatened the clerk at the Irving Lil’ Mart with a tow hitch at around 4:30 this morning, police said, and took the money from the register. The woman said two men were with her in her car, and she was seen driving away in a black Nissan Pathfinder toward Portland.

Police described her at about 5-foot-2 to 5-foot-6, with a thin build, long dark hair pulled behind her head, wearing a bright print blouse, capri pants and wearing large, dark sunglasses.

Falmouth police said Yarmouth police reported a person matching that description at a Mobil Mart in Yarmouth about a half an hour before the Falmouth robbery. The woman threatened the clerk there outside the building, but left without taking anything.
