PORTLAND BOXING CLUB: Featherweight Liz Leddy and middleweight Russell Lamour will compete in the USA Boxing National Championships this week in Colorado Springs, Colo.

Leddy, the second-ranked featherweight in the country, qualified with a Region One championship at Lake Placid, N.Y.

Lamour could not qualify because of an injury, but he received an at-large spot because of his No. 3 ranking.

The Portland Boxing Club also announced that it will host the USA Boxing New England Championships for the third year in a row.

The quarter- and semifinals will be held at the club on Nov. 6 and 13, with the championship at the Stevens Avenue Armory on Nov. 27.
