Nadia Haydym of Portland picks an assortment of wildflowers Monday on the Eastern Promenade in Portland to use in making beneficial teas. Formerly of Ukraine, she learned the talent from her mother who lived to be 90, she said. The climate in Ukraine is very close to the climate in Maine and produces similar wildflowers, she said. She drinks her homemade teas daily to keep healthy.
