SOUTH PORTLAND — Police, fire and a rescue crew are at the scene of an accident tonight in which a car went through the front window of the Bank of America branch at 50 Market St.

A police dispatcher said he did not have a lot of details, but was able to confirm that a car crashed into the bank, which is located in the Millcreek Shopping Center.

An employee at Tim Horton’s coffee shop, which is next door to the bank, said he and a fellow employee heard the crash around 8 p.m.
