Oxford Hills held off repeated threats by Biddeford to win the state Class A baseball title 1-0 Saturday afternoon at St. Joseph’s College.
The Vikings (18-2), winning their second title since 2005, scored the game’s only run in the fourth inning on a base hit by Ethan Davidson that scored Andrew Keniston, who led off with a double.
Biddeford (12-8) got its lead runner on in five of the seven innings, but winning pitcher Erik Henderson and his defense responded. The Tigers got a runner to third in the first two innings. Losing pitcher Trevor Fleurant allowed only four hits.
