The Route 35 bridge in Standish, which was closed earlier today between routes 237 and 114, has reopened.

The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office said the bridge reopened about 6 p.m. after being shut down in the early afternoon after  the bankings on the construction site for a new bridge collapsed.

Local police officers redirected traffic during the shutdown.
