Members of the Sanford Veteran’s Memorial Committee raised the Stars and Stripes Monday, rededicating Soldiers and Sailors Park, which was created in 1929 to mark the memory of those who died in World War I. A tangle of brush and trees for many years, the park has undergone a transformation and now contains a walking trail that leads to Route 202. – Tammy Wells/Journal Tribune
