Navy Seaman Recruit Waneta L. Ingram, daughter of  Shirley A. Ingram of Topsham, recently completed  Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. Ingram is a 2007 graduate of Mt. Ararat High School, Topsham.

Cadet 1st Class Noah Lindley Hudson of Ocean Park recently graduated from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy and received his commission as ensign. Hudson is the son of Alden Hudson and Jade Elliott of Ocean Park and is a 2006 graduate of Thornton Academy, Saco. His first tour of duty will be as a deck watch officer aboard the Coast Guard cutter Alert in Astoria, Ore.

Coast Guard Petty Officer 3rd Class Zachary A. Pearson recently returned from a 50-day deployment while stationed on the Coast Guard Cutter Seneca, which primarily patrolled off the coast of Haiti  and assisted in the rescue of 244 Haitians. Pearson is the son of Anne Parker of Acton and Wayne Pearson of  Kittery and is a 2008 graduate of Noble High School of North Berwick. He joined the Coast Guard in August 2008.
