NAPLES — Travis Linehan scored on a suicide squeeze by Dakota Bush in the bottom of the seventh inning Friday to give Lake Region a 2-1 win over Gray-New Gloucester in a Western Maine Conference baseball game.
Bush also had an RBI single in the fifth to break a scoreless tie. The Patriots (6-7) tied it in the top of the seventh when Ryan Cavallaro scored on a double by Jack Martell.
Zach Allen pitched a seven-hitter for Lake Region (6-6), striking out seven and walking one.

YARMOUTH 9, FREEPORT 2: Campbell Haley hit a two-run single during an eight-run third inning and combined with two others to throw a five-hitter as the Clippers (12-1) downed the Falcons (2-9) at Yarmouth.
Haley struck out five over three innings. Reed Wommack followed with three scoreless innings, and Sam Lloyd pitched a scoreless seventh.
Jeff Kuklewicz had a single and an RBI double for Yarmouth.
Freeport got an RBI single from Josh Weirich and two hits from Nick Cartmell.

YORK 8, WELLS 1: Chris Cole was 2 for 4 with a double and four RBI, and Aaron Maran was 2 for 4 with a home run and three RBI to pace the Wildcats (7-4) against the Warriors (3-9) at York.
Sam Leal held Wells to four hits, striking out six and walking none.
Doug McLean homered for the Warriors in the fourth inning.

OXFORD HILLS 3, CONY 2: Kyle Farrar’s two-run triple in the sixth inning lifted the Vikings (10-2) past the Rams (11-2) at South Paris.
Cony’s Ryan Minoty took a no-hitter into the sixth but gave up singles to Ethan Davidson and Eric Henderson prior to Farrar’s triple.

GREELY 17, POLAND 0: Ben Shain pitched a one-hitter and the Rangers (7-4) pounded out 17 hits to cruise past the Knights (2-11) in five innings at Poland.
Mark Dominick finished with three hits, and Luke Booth added a pair of singles.

LINCOLN ACADEMY 5, GARDINER 2: Jeff Lamb hit a three-run homer as the Eagles (9-2) scored four times in the sixth inning to beat the Tigers (8-4) in Newcastle.
Brandon Riley pitched a four-hitter to earn the win. He also hit a solo home run in the third inning.

WISCASSET 9, MONMOUTH ACADEMY 6: Cody Verrill had two doubles, a single and two RBI to pace the Redskins (7-5) past the Mustangs (0-11) at Monmouth.

FREEPORT 16, WELLS 6: Jackson Dodge netted five goals for the Falcons (7-2) in a win over the Warriors (3-6) at Wells.
Thomas Corsey and Christo Milholland each added four goals. Travis Shelley paced Wells with four goals.

YORK 10, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 3: Shane Hughes and Joel Berger each scored three goals to lead the Wildcats (6-3) past the Raiders (2-8) at York.
Joe Zagami and Adam Ehrenborg each added a goal and an assist.

SOUTH PORTLAND 18, MARSHWOOD 7: Harrison Keithly scored five goals and added six assists for the Red Riots (9-1) in a win over the Hawks (1-8) at South Berwick.
Adam Burpee and Mike Salvatore each contributed three goals.
Austin Hale and Jake Allen had three goals apiece for Marshwood.
