AUGUSTA — The Governor’s Office of Energy Independence and Security said today that the statewide average cash price for heating oil is $2.73 a gallon, down 2 cents from last week.

Northern Maine has the highest prices, while southwestern Maine has the lowest.

Kerosene was selling for an average of $3.11 a gallon, while propane was going for $2.68.
