The Portland Donor Center, 524 Forest Ave., is open noon to 7 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays; 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Fridays; and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the first and third Saturdays of each month,
Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston is open 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays, except holidays; and noon to 7 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Blood donated through the American Red Cross can be sent to patients at medical centers throughout New England. Platelet donors also are needed, with donations by appointment.
