Fishermen have located the body of Richard “Shaw” Jackson, 18, of China, who had been reported missing while snowmobiling Jan. 1.

Jackson was found at approximately 6 p.m. Tuesday in China Lake, in the west basin of what’s called “the narrows,” state Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife spokeswoman Deborah Turcotte said in a news release Tuesday.

“We are appreciative that the efforts of these anglers resulted in Shaw being returned to his family,” Maine Warden Service Maj. Gregory Sanborn said.

Jackson’s family was notified Tuesday. The Maine Warden Service was assisted by Kennebec County Sheriff’s Office.
