MAINERS IN NHL RANKINGS: Maine residents Jacob Rutt and Garnet Hathaway were ranked among the top 210 North American skaters in the NHL Central Scouting Rankings.

Rutt, a senior defenseman at Scarborough High, was ranked No. 148; Hathaway, of Kennebunkport, a senior right wing at Phillips Andover Academy, was No. 110.

Rutt has committed to play at the University of Maine, Hathaway at Brown.

PREP SCHOOLS

GIRLS’ LACROSSE: Lee Tsairis had five goals to lead Berwick Academy (2-0) to a 14-5 win over Bancroft (0-1).

BOYS’ LACROSSE: John Mitchell had three goals and three assists to lead Pingree to a 13-9 win over visiting Berwick Academy. Kevin Airoldi had four goals for the Bulldogs.
