SOUTH PORTLAND – A Resource Fair to be held at the Redbank Community Center on Thursday, Dec. 10, is designed to help residents learn how community organizations can help them.

The fair will take place from 4-7 p.m. at the center, located at 1 MacArthur St. It is sponsored by the city and community groups.

Children from the Redbank and Brick Hill housing communities also are invited because a playground design party is scheduled for the same location and time. At the party, the neighborhood children will help pick out the equipment for a new Redbank playground.

At the fair, representatives from more than a dozen community organizations will explain the work they do and how they can help South Portland neighbors. The services the groups offer include bus transportation, recreational opportunities, assistance with paying for food, heat and electricity, and help in learning English.
