BATH — Patten Free Library is hosting “Food for Fines” from Nov. 17-28.

Each packaged food item brought to the library will earn a $1 reduction in fines for overdue books. The benefit will not apply to lost or damaged items.

The library will not accept food items that are damaged, contained in glass or have an expired date. The collected donations will be delivered to the Bath Area Food Bank.
