SOUTH PORTLAND – South Portland police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a man who has cashed stolen checks at several area banks.

The man, described as black and possibly riding a white bicycle with a fender on the front and rear tire, has been presenting out-of-state identification cards that are believed to be fraudulent, police said. The checks have been reported stolen or taken during bank robberies. Police in Westbrook, Portland and Falmouth are also investigating cases involving the unidentified man.
