While tourists explore the U.S. Coast Guard tall ship Eagle in Portland Harbor on Aug. 1, the ship’s weekend visit was a special treat for local Sea Scouts, who boarded the Eagle at sea as it arrived on July 31. During the five-year existence of the Sea Scouts ship, the U.S. Coast Guard has provided meeting spaces, cutter rides, and seamanship and safety training.
