Concert on the Hill
For the final concert of the 2009 series, a southern Maine a cappella group, “Sidecar Heroes,” makes its first appearance with Music On the Hill on Saturday, July 25, at 7 p.m. The concert will be at the historic Windham Hill UCC Church, 140 Windham Center Road.
This six-man vocal group is made up of fragments of previous vocal groups, including The Maine Steiners, 6-Day Week, Fourtnight, and Audiologic. They’ve got rock, they’ve got doo-wop, they’ve got Motown and funk. No genre is safe from their ever-searching arrangers.
The group’s members are Patrick McCarthy, Jason Paquette, Mark Rowe, Dennis Boyd, Mac Mullen and Lee.
Refreshments will be served after the concert, with a chance to meet the performers. Ticket prices are: adults, $12.; over 65 and under 12, $8. Tickets may be purchased at the door or in advance at the Little Sebago Gallery and Frame (cash or check only), 889 Roosevelt Trail, Windham, 892-8086. For concert reservations, call 892-0136.
