Gray-New Gloucester’s Ben Miklovich had a good day at the Western Maine Conference meet last month. He won both the 100 and 200-meter dashes as well as running a leg in the 4×100 meter relay won by the Patriots.

Gray-New Gloucester softball pitcher Laura Getchell once again had a strong season on the mound, with one of the highlights coming on May 6 where she struck out 34 batters in a 14-inning loss to York. She also picked up her 500th career strikeout in May.

Gray-New Gloucester’s Kassie Wilson takes a swing against Cape Elizabeth in May. The Patriots finished the season as the No. 5 seed in the Class B softball playoffs and topped No. 4 York and No. 1 Maranacook to reach the region final before falling to Fryeburg Academy.
