Saint Joseph’s College will host a free outdoor concert by the Italian Heritage Center Concert Band on Wednesday, July 15, at 7 p.m. behind the Harold Alfond Center on the Standish campus.

The band, sponsored by the Italian Heritage Center in Portland and conducted by Nina Oatley, will showcase a variety of music, including pop, show tunes, big band, patriotic favorites, and dance music from Renaissance to swing.

Since its inception in 1988, the band has grown to 65 players varying in age from high school students to retirees.

Concertgoers should bring lawn chairs and park at lots on either side of the Harold Alfond Center. Picnicking is welcome, but no alcohol is allowed.

If there is rain, the concert will not be rescheduled.
