Senior Derek Stevenson of Raymond, a graduate of Windham High School and junior Josh Warren of Hermon, both of the University of Southern Maine Huskies mens tennis team have been named to the All-Little East Conference second team.
Stevenson and Warren were named second team first doubles pair in a vote by league coaches.
The Conference office honored 12-student-athlete first and second All-
Little East teams, consisting of one player at each of the six singles flights and a doubles pairing for each of the three teams.
The Huskies’ 2009 team co-captains, Stevenson and Warren combined to post a 10-2 (.833 winning percentage) overall mark at first doubles to lead the Huskies. In conference action, Stevenson and Warren boasted a 5-1 record. The duo’s lone conference loss of the season came against first team all-conference pair Matt Fogel and Wayne Tentler of Western Connecticut.
Southern Maine finished the season with a 6-8 overall record and a 2-4 mark in the Little East.
