I am of the opinion that the author of Police Beat went overboard in the April 30th issue of the Forecaster. It is disappointing to read the public humiliation of a local parent. I understand that the arrest is public information, but was it necessary to portray this mother of three in this manner? I just find it unnecessary to try to hide a callous commentary as humor. I am the first person who enjoys a good laugh but clearly this was only a display of despicable writing.

Finally, shame on the staff and the management at Bernie’s for allowing this situation to get out of hand.
