Edgar Beem concluded his May 8 column by stating that homosexuality is not a sin. It appears he is either quite ignorant of what the Bible teaches, or he has chosen not to believe the Bible.

From Genesis to Revelation, homosexuality is listed as a sin. 

Marriage was instituted by God – not by man. God created Adam and Eve to be joined together – not Adam and Steve.

God also teaches through scripture to love a person but not the sins they commit. With God’s help this is possible. This does not constitute prejudice or discrimination. 

If Mr. Beem had a child who stole something, which in scripture is a sin, would he hate his child or the sin committed?

God loves people but will not tolerate sin.
