VTEC clinched the top seed in the upcoming playoffs by sweeping a pair of games and finishing the season undefeated. First up was Run N Gun, which actually led in the first half before being overwhelmed in the second half, the final score was 132-89. Matt Clement led seven players in double figures with 28. Pete Serafin added 20. Run N Gun was led by Jamie Coll’s seven 3-pointers and 31 points, Rich Wong matched Coll’s 31.

The second game was the battle for first place that saw VTEC again pull away in the second half in downing the Legends, 117-86. Clement again led the way for the winners with a game-high 41, Brian Wohl hit five 3s and finished with 19. Frank Billings kept the Legends close with 35, including eight 3s and Geoff Grigsby chipped in 23.

The Legends did manage to split the week by holding off the Dream Team, 102-88. The Legends only led by one at the half. CJ Vose was dominating, scoring 40 and grabbing many rebounds for the winners. Chris Willer had six 3s to go along with 23 points. Ian Hebert had 31 and Seth Farrington 29 for Dream Team.

Team Hancock also swept two games for the week. In the opening game, Team Hancock survived a last second 3-point attempt in winning, 103-101, over PBR. PBR rallied from 20 points down in the second half before falling short. Matt Hancock ripped the nets for 45, including eight 3s and Pat Dempsey had 25 for the victors. Greg Norton continued to be unstoppable for PBR, scoring 43 with nine 3s. It was the second straight game in which Norton had 43 points. Pat Mileski added 24 for PBR.

A weary Team Hancock won their second game, 90-86, over a tough Shake N Bake team. Matt Hancock scored 34 and Pat Dempsey 26 to lead the winners, who were down by double figures in the first half. Eric Strout and Joe Downs, who each had 31, led shake N Bake.

The Leftovers were in control throughout in defeating the Bus Drivers, 97-87. Lincoln Bigelow had a game high 42 with six 3s for the Leftovers, Tom Seekins added 28 and six 3s as well. Ryan Brod led the Bus Drivers with 24, Tyler Graves and Scott Walker each chipped in with 17.

A shorthanded New Era team hustled their way past winless Strictly Business, 112-100. John Conley of New Era was on fire, pouring in 39 points, including 11 3-pointers, Mike Wilkins was equally impressive with 37. Phil Clifford paced Strictly Business with 34 and Matt Isaacs had 27.
