Join Lakes Environmental Association for an early spring birding trip at the Holt Pond Preserve Friday, May 1, at 7:30 am.
Local birder and naturalist Jean Preis will lead this avian adventure. Participants should meet at the Holt Pond Preserve parking lot, off Grist Mill Road in South Bridgton. Bring binoculars and dress for the weather and for bugs; layers work very well. The walk will cover one to two miles over varied terrain. If it is raining at 7 a.m. and predicted to continue through 10 a.m., the walk will be canceled.
Contributions of $5 per person are appreciated; LEA members attend for free. This program is part of the Caplan Family Environmental Education Series at LEA.
