An 18-year-old man was arrested late Sunday after the car he was driving hit a porch at 26 Longfellow St. in Westbrook, hospitalizing the driver and juvenile passengers, according to police.

Police said Shaun Geisinger, whose address was not available, fled the scene of the accident on foot, leaving four passengers who were juveniles. The car rolled over trapping four occupants.

Westbrook rescue personnel freed people from the car and transported them to Maine Medical Center in Portland. Injuries were reported to range from minor to very serious.

The accident was reported at about 10:20 p.m. Police located Geisinger about 30 minutes later. Geisinger was arrested on charges of felony operating under the influence, felony leaving the scene and operating after suspension.

Geisinger also was injured and was treated at Maine Medical Center before being taken to Cumberland County Jail.
