A decision on who will oversee Regional School Unit 14, the new consolidated school district between Windham and Raymond, has been put off two weeks after technological problems ended early a meeting Wednesday.

The new school unit’s board was set to act on a series of motions, including one to elect Sandy Prince, the superintendent in Windham, to the same position for the new district. But after it appeared that the audio and visual components of the meeting, held at the Windham Town Council Chambers, were not operational, the board postponed the decision until their March 11 meeting.

“The consensus of the group is that we had to have audio and visual, and not just minutes,” said Toby Pennels of Windham, chairman of the new school board.

Also at Wednesday’s meeting, the board was to act on a motion approving the name of “Windham-Raymond School District” as the official name of Regional School Unit 14, and designating the Windham School Department as the fiscal agent for the district.
