FALMOUTH — Lewis L. Plummer Sr., 90, died Jan. 22.
He was born in Mexico on Dec. 26, 1918, the son of James L. Plummer and Agnes (Thomas) Plummer.
He graduated from South Portland High School in 1937.
His occupations included working as a machinist, a cabinetmaker and in manufacturing.
He was married to Dorothea Crandall until her death on Oct. 30, 2005, two months after they celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.
An avid reader, he was a member of the Friends of the Falmouth Library. He was a Boy Scout leader for many years. He had a dry sense of humor, a strong work ethic and was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Mooselookmeguntic Lake was a special place that he loved to visit and go fishing with his wife.
He was predeceased by his wife Dorothea.
Surviving him are his children, Lewis L. Plummer, Jr. and his wife Patricia of North Yarmouth, and Joanne Plummer-Nickerson and her husband James of Kingfield; his grandchildren, Seth Hallowell Nickerson of Kingfield, Ashley Bond Nickerson-Brochu and her husband Christopher of Lincoln, Kathryn Lewise Plummer of North Yarmouth; great-grandchildren Ella Bond and Drouin Christopher Brochu of Lincoln.
At his request, there will be no visiting hours or funeral service.
