A 25-year-old man was arrested in Fargo, N.D., for crimes he is accused of committing in Bridgton last summer.
Jason Ames was arrested on a felony warrant for seven counts of Class B unlawful sexual contact and two counts of Class A gross sexual assault. He was extradited to Maine, where he remains in Cumberland County Jail with bail set at $200,000 surety or $50,000 cash.
The crimes occurred during July and August in Bridgton. Investigating officer Phillip Jones of the Bridgton Police Department would not release more details about the crime, how Ames was found in North Dakota and when he was arrested.
